Ingredients

  • 4 large red or yellow potatoes, cut into sticks
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ketchup, as needed for serving
  • Mayonnaise, as needed for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 428°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Place potato sticks in a large bowl.
  3. Sprinkle potatoes with olive oil and salt, tossing to coat.
  4. Spread coated potato sticks out onto the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake fries in the upper third of the oven for about 20 minutes.
  6. Flip fries over and continue baking for 10 minutes, or until well browned.
  7. Serve fries hot with ketchup and mayonnaise on the side.
